The Design
Tucked into the mountains of Nederland, this home was ready for a new chapter.
Our clients envisioned a serene, contemporary retreat, a place that felt calm and expansive, yet deeply connected to the rugged beauty just outside their windows. As a design build Boulder team, we understand that mountain homes aren’t just about style; they’re about creating harmony between structure and setting.
We began with a neutral palette to mirror the soft tones of the surrounding landscape. Layers of warm whites and natural hues created a peaceful foundation, while intentional pops of blue and black accents added depth and contrast. To keep the space feeling open and alive, we incorporated texture, subtle movement, and sculptural shapes throughout in tile, lighting, millwork, and finishes.
The Build
Mountain living requires thoughtful, resilient construction in Boulder County, and this whole-home remodel was designed to perform as beautifully as it looks.
In addition to renovating the existing structure, our team expanded the home with a new basement addition. This lower level now houses a dedicated gym, a functional workshop, and generous storage, creating room for hobbies, wellness, and everyday mountain life.
Upstairs, we reimagined the family room, mudroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, primary bath, and two secondary bathrooms, ensuring each space flows seamlessly into the next. The expanded and refreshed deck now serves as an extension of the home itself, capturing sweeping Nederland views and inviting year-round enjoyment.
While this project is rooted in the mountains, our experience spans both construction in Boulder and construction in Denver, allowing us to bring refined craftsmanship and thoughtful execution to homes across the Front Range.
This wasn’t just a remodel. It was a full transformation, designed and built for the way our clients truly live.
